Veronica (Speedwell) ‘Icicle’

Icicle’ has pure white flowered spikes on emerald green, textured foliage. These flowers are great as cut flowers and also will attract butterflies into the garden. They provide long lasting color in the garden. A truly trouble-free perennial. The uniform, self-supporting habit makes it perfect for edging. Neat tidy plants. Dense, narrow spikes of tiny flowers rise above the compact mounds of foliage. Care free, beautiful in or out of flower. Not fussy. Veronica can be used as a ground cover, in mass plantings, in cottage gardens, in meadows or along borders. Try ‘Icicle’ with red Hemerocallis ‘Little Business’ or Veronica ‘Sunny Border Blue’. Planting Instructions: Dig a hole large enough to encompass the roots without bending or circling. Set the plant in place so the crown (part of the plant where the root meets the stem) is about 1-2 inches below the soil surface. Cover with soil to the original soil surface and water thoroughly. Easily grown in average, medium wet, well-drained soil in full sun. Remove spent flower spikes to encourage additional bloom.
