Triumph Tulip, ‘Judith Leyster’ is a classically oval-shaped variety with a refined color combination. A broad carmine-rose margin surrounds the creamy yellow center part. This hybrid tulip has a slight frill to it. The blooms start out buttery yellow and then blend into a solid dark-rose on the outsides of the petals. Good cut flowers! This is a tall growing, trouble-free variety for the garden and is also just stunning in bouquets as well.
Triumph: Triumph tulips, developed through hybridization, consist of a large class of cultivars, offering a wide range of colors and heights. They come in every possible shade of color possible for tulips, including some wonderful pastels. They are particularly esteemed for their beautiful, traditional “tulip” flower shape. They are a showy group with strong stems and are excellent choices for beds or borders. Poor weather during their flowering period will have little effect on these tulips. Many Triumph tulips are suitable for forcing; they make outstanding cut flowers with a long vase life. All in this group are also quite content in the garden.
Tulips look best in mass plantings. They make good container plants and are delightful cut flowers.
