Tulip, ‘Gudoshnik’ is a unique variety of the large Darwin Hybrid. The color ranges from red to creamy-yellow, spotted and flamed rose, to solid yellow. Very weather resistant with strong stems. Good in combination with Red and Golden Apeldoorn as they are the same size and shape. You will enjoy this outstanding tulip! The blossoms are almost perfect pyramid shaped when closed, but they can measure as much as 6″ in diameter when fully opened. The single flowers are among the tallest and most intense of the garden tulips.
Darwin Hybrid: These hybrids have large flowers on long, sturdy stems, with brilliant colors in all shades between red and yellow. The flower is usually closed in the morning and opens to resemble a poppy as the day goes along. These are improved, larger-flowering Darwin types. Darwin Hybrids usually bloom several weeks earlier than the regular Darwin types.
Tulips look best in mass plantings. They make good container plants and are delightful cut flowers.
