General Information +

Botanical: Leucanthemum x superbum

Common: Shasta Daisy

General Characteristics: Attractive large single white daisy flowers with yellow centers. Give them a sunny spot and a balanced plant food in the spring and once again when buds form. Remove the uncut flowers as they fade to promote further bloom. A hardy perennial, forming dense colonies once established. Native to Europe, it has naturalized throughout all regions of the United States. The white petalled flowers with golden yellow centers are borne individually on single erect stems. Prefers full sun to partial shade in fertile soil. Excellent as a ground cover or border plant since the foliage is attractive and remains green all year.
