‘Krossa Regal’ displays an upright vase-shaped habit of frosty blue-green wavy leaves. The leaves are oval with a lobed base and small distinct tips. This is an Award winning hosta is a must for every garden. The leaves are leathery and held at a distinct angle. The plant is good to use with base plantings because of its upright habit. A good grower and one of the most common and distinctive hostas, it is considered one of the cornerstones of a hosta garden. The plant may be divided every few years or left undisturbed indefinitely. Hosta’s perform well in woodland settings where filtered light is abundant.

General Information +

General Characteristics: A near perfect perennial requiring very little maintenance and is virtually pest free. A Hosta has a mounded growth habit and is ideal for a specimen plant, border, edging or woodland setting. Performs well in sun but prefers a shady location. May also be used for rock gardens, near pools, and as ground covers. Seldom needs maintenance except to cut out the old flower stalks. Prefers a well-drained soil with a pH of 6.0-6.5 and about 1" of water a week. Do not over-fertilize.

Planting/Care Instructions +

Planting Instructions: May be planted in any well-drained soil. Dig a hole large enough to encompass the roots without bending or circling. Set the plant in place so the eyes (tender white or purple swelling protruding from the crown area) are about 1-2 inches below the soil surface. Cover with soil to the original soil surface and water thoroughly.

Pests or Diseases: Chewing insects and slugs can disfigure the foliage. Leaf Spots and Crown Rot.
