Canna, Dwarf ‘Shining Sun’

Shining Sun’ is only 1-1/2 to 2-1/2 feet tall, which makes it great for container gardening and also easy to put among other perennials. This lush canna is a glowing, light-yellow that has blooms opening in clusters beginning in July and continuing until frost. The flamboyant, large dark green leaves add a tropical lushness to the garden. Lovely grown in masses. In late summer when bold flowers are scarce enjoy these, warm, flamboyant flowers. These striking blooms are eye-catching from across the garden (just ask the hummingbirds)! Great for the middle of a border or in a pot to brighten up any garden or patio.

Easy to Grow: 1. Dig a hole 2-4" deep. 2. Place rhizome in hole. 3. Cover with soil and water thoroughly.

Planting Instructions: Cannas thrive in sunlight, heat and humidity. Give Cannas plenty of water during the growing season. Space plants 12-18" apart. Plant heights 1-1/2 - 2-1/2'. Canna should be lifted before the first frost of fall in areas where the ground freezes. Dig, dry-off then place rhizomes in a well ventilated frost-free place for the winter.

When to Plant Outdoors: Plant in the spring, after the ground warms to about 50ยบ F.
