Planting instructions: May be planted in any well-drained soil. Dig a hole large enough to encompass roots without bending or circling. Set the plant in place so the eyes (tender white swellings protruding from the crown area) are about 1 inch below the soil surface. Cover with soil to the original soil surface and water thoroughly.
The Peony takes some time to become established and then prefers to be left undisturbed. Avoid planting too deep as the Peony will not bloom.
Hardy, northern grown perennials from De Groot, Inc. are low maintenance and will bloom the first year!
