You can’t beat Tuberous Begonias for spectacular blooms in shade containers. Their show-stopping flowers glow among large, succulent leaves. Tuberous Begonias are suitable for planting in beds, pots, groups and borders.
Planting instructions: Plant Begonias in well drained soil approximately 1 inch deep. Place tuber in hole, indented side up, cover with soil and water thoroughly. Pinch off the first few buds to encourage larger, more vigorous growth. Water plants abundantly during bloom period.
To advance the blooming season start the bulbs indoor at 65-75º then transplant outdoors when all danger of frost is past. Plant outdoors in the spring, after the ground warms to about 50º F. Tuberous Begonias perform best planted in partial or filtered shade.
